Kim V. Heyman joined Rose Glen, LLC as a Principal in June 2020. Before joining Rose Glen, LLC, she was a partner in a boutique wealth and personal planning law firm in Wayne, Pennsylvania, where she focused her practice on sophisticated wealth transfer planning and related tax planning. Ms. Heyman has been a tax lawyer for over 25 years, 15 of which she has specialized in advising ultra-high net worth individuals and families on estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax issues, philanthropic structures and special needs planning. She knew from a young age that she wanted to help people, and that principle has guided her personal and professional life. In advising clients regarding life insurance and legacy planning, Ms. Heyman understands that the appropriate plan is the one molded by each client’s unique objectives.
Ms. Heyman has been involved in many roles in philanthropic endeavors throughout her life. Currently, Ms. Heyman sits on the Board of the Philadelphia Estate Planning Council. She is active in the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, including serving as Chair of the Bronstein Seminar Committee. She is a member of the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section, for which she has served in various leadership roles, most recently as a Vice-Chair of the Trust and Estate Practice Group’s Committee on Emotional and Psychological Issues in Estate Planning. Ms. Heyman also serves on her local election board. In addition, she and her family have been volunteers for Jewish Relief Agency’s Monthly Food Distribution Program for many years, delivering food to a diverse group of individuals in need.
Ms. Heyman has written articles and spoken locally and nationally on estate planning, charitable planning and trust and estate administration topics. She received her J.D., cum laude, in 1995 and her LL.M. in Taxation in 1999, both from New York University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990.
